Welcome note by the Executive Director of the NAPM
Welcome to the web site of the National Association for Pharmaceutical Manufacturers.
The Association, since its establishment in 1977, has a relatively long history of championing affordable healthcare by promoting the use of generic medicines.
Our members are well-established pharmaceutical companies serving to promote access and affordability to safe, quality and efficacious medicines to all South Africans.
Activities of the NAPM are aimed at supporting and promoting the interests of the local and South African based generic medicines industry by creating an environment conducive to the growth and development of the Pharmaceutical Industry in SA and beyond.
Much attention and effort is directed at improving aspects of critical relevance and importance to our members' namely legislative issues, scientific and technical issues, pricing issues, trade issues and tender issues.
We boast a diverse membership of local manufacturers, contract manufacturers and importers ranging from large listed entities to SMMEs.
In our continuing efforts to provide the local generic medicines industry with a single, united voice, we invite YOU to join the association and contribute to the discourse on health.
