International Generic Pharmaceutical Alliance (IGPA)
The International Generic Pharmaceutical Alliance (IGPA) is an informal network of six national/regional associations for generic medicines from Canada (CGPA), Europe (EGA), USA (GPhA), India (IPA), Japan (JGA) and South Africa (NAPM) with three observer associations from Brazil (Progenericos), Jordan (JAPM) and Taiwan (TGPA).
It represents the generic industry by interacting with ICH, WTO, WIPO and WHO – working to promote international pharmaceutical harmonisation and regulatory decisions in a way that will best benefit the public and strengthen the generic pharmaceutical industry.

The NAPM joined the IGPA in 2008 as an observer member. Following our participation, in 2010 we were granted full member status as well as nominated to host the 14th Annual International Generic Pharmaceutical Alliance (IGPA) conference in South Africa.
