• The admission of all new members will be subject to the approval of the Executive Council. Their eligibility will be assessed on the compatibility of their activities with those acceptable activities as laid down by the Association
• Application shall be made on the official Application for membership form of the Association in use from time to time together with a letter from the Auditor confirming the current annual turnover and submitted to the Executive Council.
• Without in any way limiting the power of the Executive Council, such form shall contain an undertaking by the applicant that upon admission to membership, he will be bound by and accepts the provisions of these Articles and any by-laws framed thereunder or codes laid down by the Association.
• Every partnership, corporation, company or any other body which shall be admitted to membership of the Association, shall nominate in writing from time to time a person who is a partner, member, director or employee, as the case may be, of such body as its representative together with an alternate who may act for him/her in his absence, and such person shall be permitted to attend meetings of members of the Association, and to vote thereat on behalf of the body so nominated that person.
• A proposed member shall not be deemed admitted to membership until the annual subscription fees, have been paid to the Association in full
• Every new member shall lodge with the Executive Director, the postal address, fax number, telephone number or other electronic means to which communications may be directed by the Association's office.
• The member is obliged to advise the association of any changes to the aforegoing.

• Membership categories
The members of the Association, all of which shall be ordinary members, shall be natural persons, partnerships, corporation, companies or other bodies carrying on business in the Republic of South Africa as manufacturers or distributors of pharmaceutical and/or related products which have agreed to be bound by the terms of the Memorandum and Articles of Association and having been admitted to membership, agree to pay such annual subscription as shall be determined by the Executive Council.
• The executive Council shall be empowered to elect Person as Honorary member of the Association subject to the approval of the General Meeting, in recognition of services rendered to the association by such person and /or of the professional expertise of such person.
• Honorary members shall be exempt from the payment of fees, levies and subscription, shall have no vote and shall not be eligible to hold on to ffice in the association or have any interest in the property of the association, but shall be entitled to attend all functions and all general meetings
